About Memory Makers
Memory
Makers Event Planning, located in Boise, Idaho, is owned and managed by Glenna
Tooman. Glenna is a graduate of Boise State University with a degree in
entrepreneurial management and training in technical communication. She has been
planning events in southwestern Idaho since 1979.
Glenna is an internationally recognized authority on wedding and event planning and on wedding and event etiquette. She is known for her common sense approach to event planning, helping clients create beautiful events while keeping their budgets in mind. She has been interviewed on television and radio and in newspapers and magazines, including the Northwest edition of the Wall Street Journal.
Glenna writes articles on wedding and event planning and on operating a small business for newspapers and magazines throughout the U.S., Canada, Australia, and South Africa. She writes for several wedding-related web sites and blogs and answers viewers' questions as a wedding and etiquette expert on several web sites. Glenna is also a field editor for Taste of Home, a national cooking magazine.

Memory Makers actively supports our local community through membership in local chambers of commerce and other business and special events organizations including the Wedding Party Association. Glenna teaches classes, speaks, and mentors young people and women business owners through her involvement with various school and community organizations.
Glenna was recently invited to contribute material for a new wedding magazine, Beautiful Bride, and for a new book, Wedding Planning Survival Guide, to be published in the late spring. She also contributed material for a book on wedding calamities, OMG! Wedding Stories. Her contribution involved the unexpected role of wildlife at some of our outdoor events - everything from snakes to cattle on the loose.
Glenna was interviewed for an article on the role of grooms and dads in wedding planning that appeared in the New York Times. She was also interviewed for an article on negotiating with vendors that appeared in Northwest Meeting + Events magazine.
